About Me!
Hi, I’m Gina Brasfield—a birth and postpartum doula, birth assistant, and healthcare advocacy consultant on the Treasure Coast of Florida. I’m certified in both birth and postpartum care, and I also hold a certificate in women’s care with a focus on trauma-informed support. I am also highly skilled in positioning with training from Spinning Babies.
My journey into this work is deeply personal. I became a mother as a teenager, and the trauma from that birth affected my future fertility in ways I never expected. I’ve also experienced three miscarriages and struggled with secondary infertility. Those painful experiences, along with the cultural and age-related biases I faced, are what led me to this calling.
Over the years, I’ve had the honor of leading support groups for women and couples walking through infertility and loss. It’s a privilege to create space where people feel heard, seen, and supported.
With over 12 years of postpartum doula experience and 2 years as a birth doula, I’ve supported families through all kinds of journeys—high-risk pregnancies, multiples, VBACs, C-sections, Christian-centered births, home births, teen and single motherhood, and more. I'm also currently studying for my IBCLC to better support families on their breastfeeding journeys.
I approach every birth and postpartum experience with compassion, advocacy, and deep respect for your unique story.
